Kids to adults in the middle show
On Thursday 16th march 2017 I whent to Coventry Ricoh arena to the kidz to adultz middle exbition .
I found out loads of stuff that is benifisul to me and my life in the future.
Most benifichol stall for my future-I found a stall with information about Portland colledge , I spoke to a lady called Sophie, I told her what I wanted to do and she was very helpful she told me how to apply and go for a look around to see if I like it and if the course is right for me. I felt good about talking to Sophie and discosing my future options.
Most benifichul for indpendnce-
A man on the stall Smart Wheelchairs Limited spoke to me about a speshlised wheelchair that would help me to be indpendnt. The wheelchair has lots of speshul fetures like seat elavator to make the chair go up and down so I am able to rech things above me , tilt of 50 degres to give my body a change of position , better suspension so it does not hurt if I go over a bump of a doorway frame .Its got a speshul back rest that reclinse that chair to a lade down position, a power leg rest that moves backwords and forwads and up and down to change the position of my legs and feet to make me more cumftibul . All of these things work from the controler, so I am able to change my position my self. The controler has a digitul display so it is esier for me see it , it works threw blue tooth so I can link my phone to it. It is a smart chair so I can conect uther things to my controler to control my envirament.
The seat cushon can be speshaly made for me so I don’t slip down my chair as much. This means I could be more indpendnt and comftbul so I wudnt always need sumbody whith me in case I slip down my chair and need pulling up.
Benifichul to my home life-
The man at easylink uk stall gave me lots of informaton on how to make my house a smart home . This meens I would be able to control serton things in my house whith my voce. I would be able to speak to Alexa amazon eco and tell her to do things like turn tv on, lights on/ off, turn heting up, open/ close certens and blinds. This information was benifichul to me becose if I move out I would be able to live indpendntly.
