Last year we funded  a young girl named Alice with a  touch screen laptop with a clicker 6 programme which has provided her with mental stimulation and also fun activities with her family. Alice’s family were  really touched by our contribution to Alice’s independence. Earlier this month Alice’s amazing sister  Emily Bates was asked to research and write a report on a charity for an English assignment and she chose Strongbones. Emily’s friends were also touched by Alice’s story and the help she had received and decided they would like to give a little back. They phoned  us for a fundraising pack, baked cakes and set up a ‘guess the sweets in a jar’ and sold them during lunch time at school. In only three lunch breaks they raised £60.50! Not only have they raised these much needed funds but they have also helped raise awareness of the work of the charity.  Thank you so much Emily and friends for all your amazing efforts ,  you guys rock !
